Child protection committee inaugurated for the Catholic Diocese of Sunyani

The Bishop of Sunyani Diocese, Most Rev. Matthew Kwasi Gyamfi has urged all to see the training and protection of children as a paramount need to ensure a stable future. Most Rev. Gyamfi said this during the inauguration of a Child Protection Committee for the Catholic Diocese of Sunyani on Saturday, 17th October, 2020. The inauguration took place during the Diocesan Pastoral Council meeting which took place at the Diocesan Pastoral Centre in Sunyani.

The members of the committee include Rev. Fr. Michael Anelka Yeboah, Rev. Fr. Francis Kwadwo Osei, Rev. Fr. Charles Bruno Kabir (OFM Conv.) and Rev. Sis. Christiana Akoeso. The rest are D/Sgt. Rebecca Adwoa Fordjour, Lawyer Stephen Asante, Dr. Mrs. Vida Korang and Mr. James Woode Kwarteng.

The Bishop after the inauguration urged the committee to work hard in developing policies and strategies in the protection of the rights of children wherever they may find themselves.
