Koforidua Diocese: 3 ordained to the ministerial Priesthood
The Bishop of the Koforidua diocese, Most Rev. Most Rev. Joseph Afrifa-Agyekum, on October 3rd ordained three young men to the ministerial priesthood.
The ordination ceremony took place at the St Roses Senior high school in Koforidua and saw the occasion graced with the presence of various priest and an out of the diocese, religious, families and well wishers.
In his homily, Bishop Afrifa-Agyekum charged the newly ordained that their ministry to a large extent is to bring the good news to the oppressed to bring up the broken hearted, to proclaim liberty to those who are in captivity and release prisoners and also to reach out to everybody, the healthy as well as the unhealthy.
He further advised them based on the gospel reading of Luke, that God needs those who are ready and willing to abandon as much as the earthly things, material acquisitions so that they can adventure for the Lord, avoid the many worldly distractions and be fishers of men for the Lord.
