Ghana’s new Apostolic Nuncio, Henryk Mieczyslaw Jagodzinski, is expected to arrive in the country on Tuesday, 8th September.

Ghana’s new Apostolic Nuncio, Henryk Mieczyslaw Jagodzinski,  is expected to arrive in the country on Tuesday, 8th September. It is believed that He was supposed to be in Ghana earlier but for travelling ban restrictions due to COVID-19.

Catholic faithfuls are however encouraged to offer support in prayer towards His safe arrival.

Monsignor Jagodzinki takes over from Most Rev. Jean Marie Speich, the immediate former Nuncio to Ghana who is currently reassigned to Cosovo.

Pope Francis on May 3 appointed His Excellency Monsignor Henryk Mieczyslaw Jagodzinski, Titular Archbishop elect of Limosano as Apostolic Nuncio(Ambassador to the Holy See) to Ghana.

Monsignor Jagodzinki was born on January 1, 1969. He was ordained a priest of Diocese of Kielce in 1995 and holds a degree in Canon law.

An Apostolic nuncio in the heirachy of the Catholic church is an ecclesiastical diplomat, serving as an envoy or a permanent diplomatic representative of the Holy See to a state.
