Bishop Gyamfi calls on priests to serve with passion and respond to the sick with pride

Most Rev. Matthew Kwasi Gyamfi has made a call to all Priests to serve with passion and respond to sick calls with pride. He said this when he presided over the Chrism Mass at Christ the King Cathedral, Sunyani on Tuesday, 30th March, 2021.

He urged the priests to treat the sick among themselves and the lay faithful with dignity by anointing them so they feel healed by the anointing. Bishop Gyamfi further encouraged the laity to support the ministry of priests and religious with constant prayers.

The Chrism Mass is celebrated annually within the Holy Week during which the Bishop will consecrate the sacred oils used in the sacraments of Baptism, Confirmation, Anointing of the Sick, and Holy Orders. Parishes receive its annual supply of these oils at the Chrism Mass.
